Refined Landscape is from deep South Texas, near Driscoll. I was driving back home from Brownsville and saw the refinery across an open field. My thinking was to show the vastness of the flat land along highway 77. This painting was juried into the National Watercolor Society’s - First 100 years Exhibition in June 2020. It was also juried into the American Watercolor Society’s 2021 Associate Member Online Exhibition.
