Last December, we published an article on Christmas shopping in the neighborhood, and it was a big hit. It was widely read, and we got some terrific feedback from neighbors telling us that the suggestions we made simplified the holiday season for them.

So, we thought we'd do the same thing again this year.  We've checked out what's new and what's changed, and we've got the definitive neighborhood holiday shopping guide.

We’ll start, however, with the same recommendation we made last year: Skip the malls. Skip Amazon. Skip the big box stores. Instead, visit and shop at some of the terrific places that are right here in the neighborhood.

It’s genuinely fun walking from shop to shop, talking to owners who are excited about their products, and finding unique, one-of-a-kind gifts that are truly special. And it's a great way to support our neighborhood businesses, which are still recovering from some very tough years.

Here’s our list of neighborhood spots where you can pick up some really special things for the loved ones on your shopping list, and have fun while doing it!
