Jane Gennarelli

Jane Gennarelli is co-editor of LNF Weekly. She also edits the Lavaca & Friends weekly arts and entertainment newsletter.

Jane Gennarelli is best known in the neighborhood for her weekly arts and entertainment newsletter, Lavaca and Friends.

Each Wednesday, that newsletter goes out to about one thousand subscribers and gives them information regarding one hundred or more events taking place in the Downtown and Southtown areas during the upcoming week.

Jane spends about twenty hours each week scouring websites, calendars, and Facebook pages to uncover performances and showings everywhere from The Pearl in the north to Lone Star in the south.

Her newsletter has been going out every Wednesday for more than a decade, except for a few months early in the pandemic when just about everything had shut down and venues had not yet transitioned to virtual events.

Jane has been a Lavaca resident since 2006 and a San Antonio resident since 1994. She grew up in the New York City area. Her ‘real job’ is as a consulting project manager; for several decades, she has specialized in building and managing large teams of professionals to manage information in large scale litigation.
