Barbara Felix

Barbara Felix, a San Antonio native, is a multidisciplinary figurative artist.

San Antonio native Barbara Felix is a multidisciplinary figurative artist of Black and Hispanic descent.

She received a BFA in Graphic Communication from Texas State University in 1991, continued her studies at the Honolulu Academy of Art in the late 1990s and -- after her return to Texas -- at San Antonio's Southwest School of Art, where she earned a "Certificate in Drawing, Painting and Printmaking" in 2013.

Barbara has participated in numerous exhibits, both solo and group, at the Carver Cultural Center, the McNay, Blue Star, the Southwest School of Art, and other venues throughout Texas. She is an executive board member of Contemporary Art Month; Gentileschi Aegis Gallery Association (GAGA); the San Antonio Ethnic Arts Society (SAEAS); the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC), and the National Council of Negro Women.
